The large hosting companies pay a one-off commission when someone signs up. It is a bigger cheque on day one, and then it stops — even though that customer keeps paying them for years.
We do it the other way round. You earn 20% of every hosting invoice your referred customer pays — monthly if they bill monthly, annually if they bill annually — for as long as they stay. The first payment is smaller. By year three it is not, and it carries on without you doing anything further.
We would rather be honest about that than pretend our first cheque is bigger. It is not. It is the tenth one that matters.

20% of every web hosting and reseller hosting invoice your referrals pay, for as long as they stay. The figures below assume annual billing — on monthly plans you earn 20% of each monthly invoice instead. The bigger the plan they choose, the more the same referral is worth to you.

Commission is earned each time a referral pays. On annual plans that is once a year, so the monthly column is what it averages to once you have several referrals renewing across the year. On monthly plans you are paid every month from the start. Payouts run on a fixed date each month.
