Free hosting is the right starting point if you want to build a website before committing to anything, if you are learning how websites and hosting work, or if you want to see what our control panel and support are actually like.
It is not the right home for a business you already trade from in the Philippines. A working business site needs its own domain, professional email on that domain, more storage and daily backups — and that is what our paid plans are for. Plenty of people start free, build the site, then upgrade when they are ready to put their own domain on it.

Is the free hosting really free?
Yes. There is no payment and no card required to start, and the account is free for 12 months. You only pay if you choose to upgrade to a paid plan for your own domain, email or more storage.
What is the catch?
There isn't a hidden one, but there are limits and we would rather state them plainly. The free plan gives you 100 MB of storage on a Hostking subdomain with the Site.pro website builder. It does not include your own domain name or email accounts, and it is not intended to run a busy commercial website.
Can I use my own domain name?
Not on the free plan. Free accounts run on a Hostking subdomain. Connecting your own domain is one of the reasons to upgrade, and paid plans start from ₱79 per month.
Do I need a credit card to sign up?
No. No payment details are required to create a free account.
What happens after 12 months?
The free account is removed at the end of the 12 months unless you upgrade to a paid plan. We will let you know before that happens so nothing disappears unexpectedly.
Can I upgrade later and keep my website?
Yes. Upgrading moves your site onto a paid plan and lets you connect your own domain, add email accounts and use the full storage allowance. You do not have to rebuild anything.
Is free hosting good enough for a business website?
It is good enough to build one, show it to people and decide whether you like it. For a business you actually trade from in the Philippines, a paid plan is the right home — you get your own domain, professional email, more storage and daily backups.
